“Amen”
“The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen.” – Revelation 22:21
How fitting that the final word of the Bible is the word, “Amen”, for this word is a word of affirmation to the truth in that which precedes the word. The word, “grace” is found in the first part of this verse. “Amen” for His amazing grace! Grace has a Divine origin for it flows from the Lord Jesus Christ. His grace is a condescending grace for it is directed towards hell deserving sinners. His grace is “abiding” grace for it remains with His people. “Amen”!
66 Books tell the story of His grace for they all combine to present the theme of redemption through the Lamb of God who was slain. The great drama of redemption unfolded more clearly with the ongoing testimony of Scripture as types, symbols, and prophesies found fulfillment when the spotlight was placed upon God manifested in human flesh. The first coming of Christ was celebrated with the “Amen” of praise, on the part of the Heavenly host. His work of redemption was finished on the cross and His resurrection was The Father’s “Amen” of affirmation proving the sin debt was most certainly paid!
“Amen” for the matchless Saviour and His matchless work! “Amen” for His coming and providing redemption. “Amen” for He is coming again! “He which testifieth these things saith, Surely I come quickly. Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus.” – Revelation 22:20
