BEAMS - Bible Education and Missionary Service
Although several ministries print tracts and New Testaments for missionaries, few ministries provide them with whole, hardback Bibles, free of charge. Therefore, this has become the primary purpose of BEAMS. BEAMS raises funds through offerings from local, independent, Bible-believing Baptist churches to purchase and supply whole, hardback Bibles for missionaries to give to those who are saved on the foreign mission fields. Since 1997, the BEAMS ministry has grown from supplying 50 Bibles a month to up to 10,000 . . . from serving 12 missionaries to over 3,000 missionaries and national workers . . . and from three countries to more than 130 countries around the world! They supply only King James Bibles in English or its equivalent in other languages.
The third Sunday of each month has been designated as BEAMS’ Sunday at Smith Grove. To become a BEAMS Bible-a-month member, simply pay $8 (or $10 if you would like to cover shipping costs) on the third Sunday to do your part toward “Sending the Whole Bible to the Whole World.” Pastor Chuck will coordinate having Bibles sent to the missionaries supported by our church. Please be sure to use the “BEAMS” envelope, check the particular commitment level, and return the envelope along with your check in the offering plate on the third Sunday.
