Christmas Time
We celebrate Christmas on December, 25th but must know that this is very likely not the actual date when Christ was born. The actual date on our calendar is not nearly as important as the fact that His birth did occur at a specific time! “But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law,” – Galatians 4:4 Every detail of life matters to God including the time when His Son was born. All prophesies had come together, the world’s sin had reached the brim, and, particularly, God’s timing for the orchestration of the event had arrived.
The “sending forth of God’s Son” was the revelation of the loving heart of God. The offended God made the first move in reaching out to the offenders! He sent His Son, although the sin of mankind blatantly insulted and blasphemed His Character and Holy Name. God took the initiative in redeeming the lost and “Christmas Time” is the living proof of that blessed truth. “To redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons.” – Galatians 4:5
“Christmas Time” is the “time” which announces the possibility of hope for the hopeless and life for those dead in trespasses and sin. It also verifies that the “on time God” of the first coming of Christ is the same “on time God” of His second coming. He knows when the time has reached its “fullness” and Jesus will return not one second too early or one second too late!
