“The Changes of Life and The Potter’s Hand”
“O house of Israel, cannot I do with you as this potter? saith the LORD. Behold, as the clay is in the potter’s hand, so are ye in mine hand, O house of Israel.” – Jeremiah 18:6
The life we spend upon this earth is one of growth and change.
The past is now our memories, we cannot rearrange.
Our journey through this life is blessed when God is in control.
Each segment of our span on earth does play a vital role.
Our earthly lives are brief at best; we witness fleeting years.
We all have times of grief; we all have times of tears.
We relish times of happiness when hearts are filled with cheer.
When backs are strong and limbs not weak, while minds are bright and clear.
A potter takes a bit of clay and fashions on the wheel.
Its nothing but a glob of mud resembling nothing real.
His careful hands are still at work; He plans what he will mold.
His finished work will soon emerge with beauty to behold.
The Father knows our earthly path although there’s stress and toll.
Our times are in His blessed hands; He’s always in control.
Although we age and go through change and labor for our pay.
The Potter plans a chosen time He’s finished with the clay.
