The Half Has Not Been Told
“Howbeit I believed not the words, until I came, and mine eyes had seen it: and, behold, the half was not told me: thy wisdom and prosperity exceedeth the fame which I heard.” – I Kings 10:7
“And there are also many other things which Jesus did, the which, if they should be written every one, I suppose that even the world itself could not contain the books that should be written. Amen.” – John 21:25
The wealth and works of Israel’s King amazed a royal queen.
She couldn’t grasp what she had heard and what her eyes had seen.
His wisdom and prosperity were more than she had known.
She knew that God had blessed the king and placed him on the throne.
The total story of his fame, to her had not been told.
A visit to the palace, the truth, there did unfold.
The queen was given riches and all that she desired.
The blessings from the king, the one that she admired.
My King has given riches, He too is great in fame.
He’s greater far in wisdom; Jesus is His name.
His works exceed the limit, of words that’re written down.
His grace beyond all measure, His love of great renown.
The half has not been told; what Jesus means to me.
The gift of His salvation, so wonderful and free.
The riches He has given are beyond our thoughts to know.
Why He would save a sinner; Why He would love us so!
