Words of Advice to Senior Saints
The aged Christians, among the rest of society, are both not overlooked in grace or relieved from Christian duty. “Those that be planted in the house of the LORD shall flourish in the courts of our God. They shall still bring forth fruit in old age; they shall be fat and flourishing; To shew that the LORD is upright: he is my rock, and there is no unrighteousness in him.” – Psalm 92:13 – 15
We, who have been given many years of earthly life, are blessed, and entrusted with a greater degree of accountability. “… For unto whomsoever much is given, of him shall be much required: and to whom men have committed much, of him they will ask the more.” – Luke 12:48 The trees that God has planted in the garden of grace are to be fruitful! The feebleness of aging does not impair fruitfulness. God’s track record of faithfulness, throughout the years of our life, is shone and told by the senior saints. Calm assurance, steadfastness, and integrity of character, certify what God has done down through the years. We are to end our earthly years not drawing attention to ourselves but unto the Lord! Our feet will soon tread the streets of gold but until then, lets show others that the Lord is our rock, our perfect God, and the joy of our life. – Chuck Peters 10/1/2023
