“Peace be Still”
“And he arose, and rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea, Peace, be still. And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm.” – Mark 4:39
The Disciples once were frightened, upon the troubled sea.
The winds and angry waters were as fierce as they could be.
The Master still was sleeping, while the ship on waters tossed.
The crew on board felt threatened that their lives would soon be lost.
The Master’s words were sounded and the wind no longer roared.
The sea was calmed by His command, the crew was safe on board.
The threats upon the waters were destroyed by His voice.
The God and great Creator gave the wind no other choice.
We, too, upon the sea of life sometimes are filled with fear.
Our ship is threatened by the storm, our frightful end seems near.
“Peace be still”, our Master says, our fears are swept away.
The winds have ceased, the sea is calm, His peace is here to stay.
