Thought for Today
We oftentimes are subject to be entangled by challenges in life greater than our ability to handle. There are pressing moments and problems which bring stress and a sense of our utter weakness to deal with the problems. The Christian does have a “way out” in handling the things that are beyond our handling ability. A King of Judah once was confused in terms of knowing what to do but he wisely came to the right conclusion. “O our God, wilt thou not judge them? for we have no might against this great company that cometh against us; neither know we what to do: but our eyes are upon thee.” – II Chronicles 20:12 He realized that God had to deal with his enemies!
We basically have two options in dealing with negative situations in life. We either change them or change ourselves! The changing of ourselves has to do with the attitude that we must humble down, take our eyes off ourselves, and look squarely to the Lord for guidance and help. When the confusion of not knowing what to do is changed into faith in what God can do, our day becomes better!
